Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 20, 2025

1. Introduction

Datter ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by Datter.

2. Data Processing

Local-First Architecture: Datter is designed to process your datasets locally in your browser using WebAssembly. By default, the raw data files you analyze are NOT uploaded to our servers. They remain on your device.

Optional Cloud Features: If you explicitly choose to save a run to your workspace history or share it with a team member, metadata about the analysis (column profiles, summary statistics, charts) and the dataset itself may be encrypted and stored on our secure servers.

3. Information We Collect

We collect account information (email, name) when you register. We also collect usage telemetry to improve the product, which includes feature usage counts and error reports, but not the contents of your datasets.

4. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@datter.org.
